extended Homestead Exemption allows individuals over 65 to exempt
$25,000 of the market value of their home from all local property
taxes regardless of income restrictions.
This savings equates to
an average of almost $400 per year, or more than three times the value of the levy
request of $122.50/$100,000 home.
